What is SmartDoc?

When you or a member of your family are sick and want to meet with a nurse and physician from the comfort of your home, our newly introduced MetLife SmartDoc powered by HealthHub is here to assist you.

SmartDoc allows a nurse and physician from HealthHub to conduct a medical exam in the comfort of your home and remotely diagnose and treat common symptoms such as fever, cold, ear infection, stomachache, sore throat, congestions, etc.

The nurse and physician are equipped with the latest diagnostic technology to check your vitals such as Pulse-Oximeter, Weight/Height and BMI, Thermometer, Non-Invasive Blood Pressure, ECG (3 lead or 12 lead), Electronic Stethoscope, Spirometer, Respiratory Rate and Glucometer.

In addition, SmartDoc uses advanced instruments that can record audiogram hearing and Video Laryngoscope tests, along with Medical Cameras, PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom). Cameras are fully controlled by the physician with their patient while simultaneously viewing real-time comprehensive medical data to determine the appropriateness of telemedicine on a case-by-case basis.

Step 1

Step 2

Our experienced nurse will arrive to your home, and will provide assistance through your examination using SmartDoc diagnostic tools. At the time of the appointment, SmartDoc team will also verify patient’s details by checking Emirates ID/Passport

Step 3

The nurse will connect you digitally to the physician, who will complete your examination, to provide the diagnosis based on the medical exam data.

Step 4

During the visit, if the physician recommends the need for diagnostic follow up, such as blood sample, the physician will send the referral instantaneously to MetLife.

Step 5

Following the examination if a prescription is needed, the physician will send your medical prescriptions to the nearest available pharmacy, who will deliver your prescribed medicines at your doorstep all within minutes and from the comfort of your home.

PCR test can be arranged provided that the symptoms match with the regulatory guidelines. SmartDoc should be informed ahead to make sure that the kit is available. Otherwise all screenings will be on a cash basis.
